The Trustees have a long association with Zimbabwe which originated with a twinning arrangement between Aberdeen in Scotland and the city of Bulawayo. To date the Trust has concentrated on helping orphaned children with compulsory education fees, the provision of some school uniforms, books and education materials. Additionally support has been given to a children's hospice, and the development of self-help projects which have enabled beneficiearies to raise their standards of living. Computers have been supplied for use in schools and for a charity near Bulawayo that has established a successful Internet Cafe to raise funds for the continuation of its charitable work.Several consignments of clothing and essentials have been sent to Bulawayo for distribution by the Mayor of Bulawayo's Children's Fund.
All donations are used entirely for the purposes given and feedback is available to those donors who are interested in receiving information on how their funds have been spent. No payments are made for expenses other than those which are required by law such as the provision of approved accounts. |
